Welcome to the 16th issue of the news publication, published in Spring 2024 as the Research and Knowledge Exchange Magazine, and introduced by our Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Knowledge Exchange), Professor Rusi Jaspal.
____________
I am delighted to introduce the latest edition of the Research and Knowledge Exchange magazine.
At the Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯, we are proud of our research and knowledge exchange activity. We often state that our endeavours create benefits for our students, partners and communities, and deliver a positive societal impact. In this issue, we bring these claims to life.
Find out how our research and knowledge exchange enriches our teaching through our Student Research Experience Scheme (section 04) and by boosting employability skills through hands-on knowledge exchange projects (section 23) with valued businesses.
Learn how we drive important partnerships through our work with The Regency Town House (section 14), collaborate with Global Fellows (section 04), and share our insights with the public through our established inaugural lecture (section 06) and Brains at the Bevy (section 13) programmes.
See how we make a difference to the world around us both locally as lead for the Health Counts Survey (section 09) and globally, as we conduct research into the health impacts of climate change (section 08).
It is a testament to our university community – both our academics and our professional services colleagues – that we are in a position to reflect on our achievements and plan for the future. I am immensely grateful for the collective passion, determination and talent so clearly in our midst.
I hope that you find this issue both inspiring and informative.
With best wishes,
Professor Rusi Jaspal, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Knowledge Exchange)
