The University continues to invest in building research and knowledge exchange capacity through a range of schemes and initiatives. In line with our Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategic Plan and our Concordat Implementation Plan, we are committed to cultivating excellence in research and knowledge exchange, nurturing talent, sustaining impact, and promoting internationalisation.

Our initiatives support all aspects of the research and knowledge exchange spectrum. Initiatives are reviewed annually to ensure we address the most pressing societal challenges and continue our commitment to developing our rich research and knowledge exchange environment. Future Research and Knowledge Exchange Leaders Programme

This prestigious, intensive programme empowers future leaders to reach their own potential, develop leadership skills and take next steps to becoming world leaders in their field as part of a nurtured cohort and is aimed at mid-career researchers.

Bid Builder

This programme of six, structured sessions develops the skills required for creating compelling research grant applications, guided by grant proposal specialists and experienced academic colleagues.

Research and Knowledge Exchange Development Fund

The Research and Knowledge Exchange (R&KE) Development Fund supports a broad range of exploratory R&KE projects that require seed funding.

 

Official Development Assistance Fund

The Official Development Assistance Fund provides funding for research activity that directly contributes to the economic development and welfare of developing countries. The fund aims to support new or existing research that addresses a clear global challenge.

Postgraduate Researcher Mobilisation Scheme

The scheme enables Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to visit and work alongside research leaders around the world, and outstanding postgraduate researchers from non-UK locations to work with us at the Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯.

The aim of the scheme is to generate new global partnerships, to reinforce existing collaborations and networks, and to raise the profile of our doctoral research on the international stage.
