The university's supplies and supplier contracts are handled by Procurement Services, a branch of the finance department.

The Procurement Services team are the first point of contact for information on current contracts, current and forthcoming tenders, and how to sell to the university.

Procurement Services are a small team of procurement professionals with many years of experience in both the public and higher education sectors. A number of them are qualified or part qualified through the , and the team is committed to keeping up to date with current procurement issues and best practice.

The university is part of the , where universities in the south of England collaborate on university-wide contracts. Our SUPC contracts involve commodities such as photocopiers, stationery, janitorial supplies, furniture and IT equipment.

Occasionally, the university also uses sector-wide contracts from the (CCS).

EU tender opportunities

We operate a devolved budgeting system with day to day purchasing decisions taken at departmental level. Any supplier wishing to undertake or tender for business with the university should initially make contact with the relevant school or department.

Approved lists

For supplies and services we do not maintain a list of approved, preferred or recommended suppliers.

We recognise that our contractors, suppliers and service provides are integral to our success and customer satisfaction. You support us to deliver the day to day operational services to the estates as well as deliver maintenance and construction works.

We have provided basic site safety and contact information to help us deliver a better service and to help you undertake your work safely. Please ensure contract managers, supervisors and operatives complete an induction for the campus they will be working on.

Asbestos register

The asbestos register made available here relates to buildings under the control of the 香蕉直播 that are known to contain asbestos containing materials (ACM).

Typically, these are buildings constructed and refurbished before year 2000. After year 2000 asbestos containing materials were generally known to no longer be available on the market in the United Kingdom.

However, any person undertaking construction or maintenance activities on our premises is expected to have completed an asbestos awareness training course and be able to identify those materials that are likely to contain asbestos.

In all circumstances if material is suspected to contain asbestos then its true nature must be ascertained. All ACM can only be worked on or removed with the consent of the Asbestos Manager.

The Asbestos register information is primarily based on Management Surveys compliant with current guidance issued by the Health and Safety Executive.

In some circumstances the results of Refurbishment Surveys have been included as there is a strong presumption that materials identified in these surveys are present in similar parts of the building.

In all circumstances a Refurbishment Survey must be considered before any refurbishment of a building takes place or changes are made that are likely to affect the fabric of building. The Asbestos Manager must be consulted.

Terms and conditions

We operate under a number of standard terms and conditions, which are used when contracting with suppliers. However, it may be that the university and the supplier will negotiate the terms and conditions of a contract on a case-by-case basis.
