As part of a £5m ERDF funded programme called Brighton Research Innovation Technology Exchange (BRITE), the university is working to help regional companies innovate, address challenges on growth and recovery and explore new opportunities, using innovation research carried out by the Centre for Change, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (CENTRIM).
The university is working with Plus X, as the delivery partner for the BRITE project, which launched in 2020. The project is now taking another significant step in driving SME business innovation through its INSPIRE programme, which provides an integrated programme of bespoke e-learning, 1-2-1 coaching and small group workshops to help SMEs overcome their difficulties in developing sustainable innovation practices.
