About this bursary
This bursary is for full-time first year students normally resident in EU countries other than the UK who are starting their course in 2015. It supports students from lower-income families and is funded by the university.

You do not need to repay a Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ bursary. It is paid in the first year of your course only.
Additional financial support
Depending on your circumstances, you could be eligible to receive further bursaries and financial support from the Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ in subsequent years of study.
Who is eligible
To be eligible to apply for this bursary you must:
- be in the first year of an undergraduate course
- be normally resident in an EU country other than the UK and have been assessed as eligible to receive a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England
- have a household income up to and including the equivalent of £25,000 a year.
Your eligibility for the bursary may be affected if you already have a degree or other higher education qualification, or if you are studying for another qualification at the same or a lower level.
Your eligibility for this bursary will be re-assessed each academic year.
Exceptions
Nursing, midwifery and allied health professions (AHP) courses have different tuition fee and funding arrangements. Students on these courses do not qualify for the Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ bursary.
Some social work students are eligible to receive NHS bursaries in years 2 and 3 of their courses. Social work students who receive these bursaries are not eligible for the Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ bursary either.
How to apply
Please make sure you do the following:
- Apply for your student funding as soon as possible.
- Once your tuition fee loan has been agreed and you have been notified, please contact Student Finance England EU Team to request a bursary application form.
We will email you in the autumn to confirm whether you will receive this bursary for the academic year.
