Wellbeing Champions is our new training programme for students who want to learn more about building and maintaining their own wellbeing.
Providing mental health awareness and knowledge enables students to build resilience in themselves, and know how to be there for others. It also reduces stigma and embodies our attitude towards creating a sense of belonging and a supportive community.
Students can access a phased programme:
- The entry level provides online learning activities that support students to improve their personal mental wellbeing.
- Level 2 extends this online learning for students to support their friends and loved ones with their mental health.
- Level 3 provides in-depth training for students who want to develop their skills and knowledge to support their wider university community. They will become Wellbeing Champions. This paid role will involve them working with the university’s wellbeing team to design and deliver events and awareness campaigns.
By donating to our Wellbeing Champions, you’ll enable more students to have the awareness, knowledge and experience to support themselves, their friends and the wider community. Your donation can make a profound difference to someone’s life.
