‘Critical Histories’ will examine the widespread belief that we are living in shifting times and will ask: “Can we rise to the occasion? How can histories of the past be used most productively today? What new themes are there to be explored and what new perspectives to be adopted? How can historians make critical interventions in the politics of the present?”
Organised by the University’s Humanities Programme in the School of Humanities, the symposium runs from 9a.m. to 5.30pm next Wednesday (13 June) at the university’s Grand Parade building in Brighton city centre.
Tickets can be booked online via Eventbrite.
