The one-day event, free and open to anyone interested in researching, developing, or delivering sports and related leisure programmes to the public, will showcase academic work and share examples of good practice.
Speakers will include Dr Ben Carrington from the University of Southern California, Dr Cathy Van Ingen from Brock University, Canada, Dr Janelle Joseph from the University of Toronto, Canada, and Professor Tina Nobis from Humboldt University, Germany.
The symposium, hosted by the university’s Sport and Leisure Culture Research Group, is at the university’s Hillbrow campus in Eastbourne, on 13 June from 9.30am to 5pm.
