He has been named one of Europe’s top 50 healthcare IT leaders by the European arm of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the largest health IT membership organisations in the world.
Supported by IBM Watson Health, which supplies the health experts with technology and expertise, ‘Future 50’ is a new initiative to bring together the top 50 healthcare IT leaders in Europe to work with HIMSS and other partners to overcome future systemic health challenges “to improve healthcare for all of us”. The Future50 community will share expertise, collaborate over borders and foster innovation both individually and as a group.
Dr Fotis, who has conducted research both in the UK and Greece, said: “‘I am very honoured and excited to be named one of the HIMSS Europe’s top 50 healthcare IT leaders in Europe and at the same time feeling humbled for the responsibility of contributing to shape the future of healthcare.
