David, who graduated with a Fine Art Painting BA(Hons) in 2013, is one of just 15 painters to be shortlisted for this year’s prestigious prize. He has also been offered a place to study for a Master’s degree at the Royal College of Art.
Commenting on his success, David said: “This has been an exciting year for me so far. It is an honour to be shortlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize alongside a selection of great painters, and I am eager for the opportunity to further develop my practice at the Royal College of Arts. I am extremely grateful for both of these opportunities, and I certainly wouldn’t be where I am without studying in Brighton.”
